TL;DR: Check whether your fountain permits a powered cleaning process with its filters removed. GOHALL's directions require all filters out during cleaning and rinsing. If your model needs a filter for proper operation and gives no approved filter-out cleaner procedure, use its specified care method or ask the maker before starting. Do not leave a required filter in the cleaning solution as a workaround.
“Remove the filter” can be a compatibility question
Removing media before cleaning protects it from a treatment that its instructions may not allow. But that step also changes the assembled fountain. Find out whether the maker permits the cleaner, water temperature and powered process with those parts absent. Being able to switch the fountain on does not settle those permissions.
The fountain, pump and filter guide covers the ordinary filter-out process for compatible equipment. A model with required filtration needs this additional check before that process begins.
A required ultrafilter is a different configuration
Petlibro's Glacier PLWF007 support says the fountain only works properly with its ultrafilter installed. Its care guidance permits dishwasher washing of the stainless-steel tank and basin, while the black filtration unit must not be rinsed with water.
This normal-operation and part-care guidance does not document a GOHALL filter-out cycle or permission to put cleaner through the installed ultrafilter. Confirm the missing procedure before starting.
Keep the two sets of directions intact
The current GOHALL Pet Water Fountain Cleaner Tablets label requires the fountain to be off and unplugged during preparation, with all filter(s) removed. For compatible equipment, it then specifies a 15–20 minute circulation treatment, complete draining and repeated fresh-water rinses before filters and drinking water return.
Confirm the permitted method before dissolving a tablet. The dose depends on the actual cleaning-water volume; it is not a reason to override a required part, chemical restriction or electrical boundary. Keeping the filter installed, replacing it with an improvised sponge, repeatedly triggering a sensor or modifying a controller does not create an approved GOHALL procedure.
Use the approved part-care route when circulation is unconfirmed
Keep pets away and provide drinking water separately. Switch off by the model's procedure and disconnect power with dry hands before handling parts. Wash only the parts and surfaces its instructions allow; keep adapters, plugs, cable connections and any unit required to stay dry out of water. Do not open a sealed component.
Follow the separate Glacier part-care rules. A dishwasher-safe part needs the maker's required separation and reassembly.
After the approved care, complete its rinsing, reassembly and fresh-water fill before pets regain access. A leak near electrical parts, a damaged component or flow that does not recover needs manufacturer support. Cleaner cannot repair a required filter, seal or control.
A question before adding cleaner
Can I leave the ultrafilter in while using GOHALL?
No. GOHALL's current procedure requires all filters removed. If that procedure cannot be confirmed as permitted for your exact fountain, use the maker's approved care instead. Running cleaner through the media is not an alternative given by the label.
