Ice Maker Cleaning

Whirlpool Ice Maker Cutter Grid: Before You Remove It

Cutter-grid washing is a separate maintenance task with model-specific access and refitting requirements.

TL;DR: Whirlpool’s W11736864A manual separates cutter-grid care from its cleaning program. Use the complete interior procedure before disconnecting parts.

Match the machine and its manual

Whirlpool’s U.S.-market WUI75X15HZ is a standalone clear-ice maker. Its product listing links the W11736864A owner’s manual. Check your full model number and manual revision before using its access diagrams.

Before choosing hand cleaning

The complete Interior Components procedure (pages 4 and 5) covers two harnesses, the right-hand spacer and the water-pan pump/bracket. Refitting restores connections, the plastic spacer, pan mounting, drain cap and cover.

Unplug or disconnect power before interior care. Do not remove hoses or dishwasher-wash plastic parts. All parts and panels must be back before operation.

Use the complete illustrated procedure. Stop if parts or connections differ.

Keep water-path cleaner separate

GOHALL Ice Machine Cleaner Tablets are for compatible dedicated standalone machines. They are not a hand-washing recipe for a removed assembly. This manual recommends affresh for system cleaning; it does not establish GOHALL compatibility.

Confirm the approved cleaner and method first. The GOHALL residential directions use one fully dissolved tablet in fresh water filled to the water pan’s maximum line, followed by cleaning, draining and the required fresh-water rinses. Discard ice made during cleaning. The standalone ice-maker cleaner and rinse guide covers those separate limits.

Before emptying the bin

Can I leave ice in the bin during hand cleaning?

No. Remove all ice as part of the documented preparation.
