TL;DR: A Machine Care light disappearing does not prove maintenance ran. Check your model and the completed program.
Why the light can disappear
The U.S. SGV78C53UC manual says its reminder also expires after three wash cycles without Machine Care.
Think back to the last program you selected. Did you start a separate empty-machine treatment, or only wash another load of dishes? Record that distinction before buying another cleaner or pressing a button to clear the display.
Check the two-phase instructions
This model’s Machine Care uses a care liquid or powder descaler in the interior for grease and limescale, then machine cleaner in the dispenser for food deposits. Use its approved products and placements, with no dishes or aluminum items inside. Clean filters first; follow product precautions.

Where GOHALL’s separate treatment fits
GOHALL Dishwasher Cleaner & Deodorizer directs one unwrapped tablet in the dispenser of an empty compatible dishwasher, used alone without dish detergent or another cleaner. Its label permits Normal or an available dedicated cleaning cycle; those words do not authorize combining it with the Bosch two-product method.
Use GOHALL only when your appliance’s approved cleaner, placement and program agree with its label. It does not establish approval for either stage of this Bosch example. Do not put it in both locations, add a second product or improvise a replacement recipe.
The complete GOHALL empty-cycle directions include finishing the cycle and safe air-drying. A changed indicator cannot do those steps for you. Open fully only after water noises stop and steam subsides.
If the cleaner program stopped
Use the interrupted cleaner-cycle guide before another dose or a load of dishes. Keep the machine empty until its required cleaner-clearance procedure is resolved. Repeated starts cannot fix a recurring drain or electrical fault.
Choosing the cleaner
Can I use GOHALL for both stages?
No. GOHALL’s label specifies one tablet, used alone in a compatible empty cycle. This Bosch procedure does not establish approval for its use in either stage.
