Separate clips from jets
GE's Bottle Wash guidance allows the clip to slip over the nozzle top, but does not recommend removing the jet. Stop if the clip resists its documented release.
With the dishwasher off and cool, photograph the assembly. Keep pliers and probing tools out of the nozzle openings.
Use the filter instructions for your GE model
GE's Fine and Ultra Fine Filter guidance distinguishes removable systems from self-cleaning designs. Confirm which arrangement your dishwasher has before releasing anything. Keep hands out of debris or cloudy water that may hide broken glass, and follow the manual's power-isolation instructions before access.
The referenced Ultra Fine Filter uses warm soapy water and a sponge; brushes and scouring pads can damage it. The Fine Filter has different cleaning allowances. Use the instructions for each layer, rinse off cleaning residue and refit every required part securely before running the machine. Weak upper-rack washing has other causes
GE's poor-washing checks include loading, cycle selection, detergent, incoming water and filtration. A dirty item above a jet does not identify a failed pump or prove that the jet needs removal.
A rotating spray arm is another component. Use the spray-arm guide only with the model's permitted arm access; that permission does not make a Bottle Jet removable. If approved checks do not restore washing, ask GE about service rather than dismantling the rack's water supply.
What a dishwasher tablet can address
